Cody Carper is a corporate partner in the Houston office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. His practice focuses on complex transactions across the energy spectrum, including the formation of joint ventures, drilling partnerships and other joint development arrangements, the acquisition and divestiture of upstream and midstream oil and gas assets and companies, oil and gas financing transactions and the negotiation of farmout and participation agreements, joint operating agreements and gas and condensate gathering agreements. Formerly the Assistant General Counsel for a large privately-held oil and gas company, Cody frequently advises oil and gas companies and sponsors regarding day-to-day land, production marketing, drilling, completion and other operational issues.
