Mr. Apfel also regularly advises companies on gaming and gambling regulatory matters, and he has an active pro bono practice. He is an award winning and nationally recognized trial lawyer who represents corporations and individuals in a wide range of criminal and civil cases. Mr. Apfel is the founder and co-chair of the firm’s Gaming, Gambling & Sweepstakes Practice and is a key contributor to Goodwin Procter's Gaming blog, aimed at helping operating companies, entrepreneurs and investors stay on top of the complex and rapidly shifting legal and regulatory issues affecting gambling and gaming in the United States.
