Don is a member of the firm’s national Recruiting Committee and Board of Partners, and focuses his practice on debt finance transactions, energy sector transactions and general corporate law.

Within his debt finance practice, Don’s experience includes syndicated, secured and unsecured senior debt, acquisition financing, real estate financing, second lien loans, mezzanine debt and complex intercreditor issues, with significant experience in senior financing for health care companies.

Don also represents refiners and petroleum marketing and logistics companies in a variety of different operational and strategic matters. In addition, he represents companies in corporate transactions ranging from mergers and acquisitions and capital fundraising to strategic business alliances and general corporate governance issues.

Don served as law clerk to District Court Judge F.A. Little of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana from 1998 to 1999.
