Doug I. Koff

Douglas Koff is a partner in the Litigation practice of the Paul Hastings New York office. He routinely represents corporations and individuals in high profile proceedings -- both criminal and civil, as well as matters in the investigative stage. He also has been involved in a wide variety of internal investigations.

In this regard, Mr. Koff has advised and defended a variety of companies and corporate executives in virtually every inquiry by civil and criminal authorities (as well as SRO's) into business practices on Wall Street, including a wide array of matters involving the financial crisis.

Mr. Koff's matters generally involve complex factual and legal issues. He has been actively engaged in cases involving securities, derivative products, and other complex financial instruments. He has handled cases involving a broad spectrum of substantive legal issues, including antitrust, breach of fiduciary duty, reinsurance, fraud, piercing the corporate veil, mergers and acquisitions, money laundering, as well as federal securities law.

As Chambers USA has noted, Mr. Koff is “hard working, attentive and client-focused.” “He has everything on his radar screen. He is a smart, thorough litigator who is always on top of things.” In addition, he has a “remarkable ability to get along with anyone, making it his business to develop a rapport with other attorneys involved in his cases.”
