Ltd., Motorola, Bank of New York, Unocal Corporation, PPG Industries, Mine Safety Appliances Company and a number of other financial, energy, media and manufacturing companies.
Doug represents secured and unsecured creditors, asset purchasers, creditors' committees, debtors, receivers, trustees, assignees for the benefit of creditors and investors. He has considerable expertise concerning insolvency matters, secured transactions, real and personal property foreclosures, receiverships, the Uniform Commercial Code, oil and gas, agricultural liens, the Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act (PACA), mechanics' liens, pre and post judgment remedies, asset protection strategies, and sovereign debt enforcement.
Doug has had extensive litigation and bankruptcy experience in numerous courts throughout the United States, including the United States Supreme Court, appeals before the Third and Ninth Circuit Courts of Appeal and the Bankruptcy Appellate Panel for the Ninth Circuit. He frequently appears in the District and Bankruptcy Courts for the Districts of California, Nevada, Arizona, Delaware, Texas and New York and has been designated as one of Northern California's Super Lawyers in the field of Bankruptcy & Creditor/Debtor Rights by San Francisco Magazine.
