Edward L. Baxter is a member of Cozen O’Connor and a former chair of the Business Law Department. He concentrates his practice in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, general corporate matters and corporate taxation. Edward has extensive experience in the general representation of businesses, both public and privately owned, including the corporate and tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions, public offerings of debt and equity securities, corporate formations, restructurings and liquidations and financing techniques, including asset-backed securitizations and syndications.

Edward has served as an adjunct professor in the Graduate Tax Program at the Temple University Beasley School of Law and as a member of the board of overseers of Widener University School of Law. Additionally, he is a member of the American, Pennsylvania, and Philadelphia bar associations. Edward frequently lectures to certified public accountants and bar association groups on tax issues affecting corporations.

Edward received his undergraduate degree from Widener University in 1968, and earned his law degree from Temple University’s James E. Beasley School of Law in 1971, where he was an editor of the law review.
