Elizabeth C. Brandon

Elizabeth C. Brandon is a partner in Barnes & Thornburg’s Dallas office. As a member of the Litigation Department, Ms. Brandon concentrates her practice on complex commercial litigation.

With more than 10 years of experience, Ms. Brandon represents clients in class actions, securities litigation, public M&A, fiduciary duty and corporate governance disputes, shareholder derivative litigation, SEC and other regulatory and exchange proceedings and related counseling, and general business disputes. She also defends and advises companies, officers and directors on matters relating to general corporate governance, including counseling on director independence, fiduciary duties, disclosures, regulatory compliance, and investigations by the SEC and Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) that involve allegations of accounting and financial fraud, insider trading and other violations.

Ms. Brandon was named on the Rising Stars list in the 2015 and 2016 editions of Texas Super Lawyers.

Active in the community, Ms. Brandon is a member of the University of Texas M&A Institute’s planning committee; American Bar Association’s Business Law Section and Section of Litigation; Women of White Collar Defense Association; Attorneys Serving the Community; and Dallas Bar Association. She also is a member of the Women's Energy Network; J.L. Turner Legal Association; Dallas Association of Young Lawyers; and Leadership Arts-Dallas. In addition, she is a mentor to law students through various programs.

Ms. Brandon earned her J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law, her M.A. from the University of Texas Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs, and her B.A. from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.
