Beth practices in the firm’s energy and environmental department. She concentrates her practice on environmental, health and safety law, and has experience in compliance and regulatory counseling and in litigation and enforcement defense.

Beth has advised clients on regulatory compliance under both federal and state environmental statutes and regulations and on the implications of environmental regulations on business and real estate transactions. Furthermore, she has successfully resolved clients’ environmental enforcement matters before state and federal regulators. Beth also has experience with mass toxic tort litigation defense in federal and state court, based on both common law and statutory causes of action.

Moreover, Beth’s practice includes OSHA compliance counseling and enforcement defense. Her clients include the manufacturing, construction, and healthcare industries. She has counseled clients on complex compliance issues under both federal OSHA and state plans, including California OSHA, and achieved favorable results for clients in defending OSHA citations.

Prior to joining McGuireWoods, Beth served as judicial intern to the Honorable Gladys Kessler of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
