Mr. De Wames has found success in litigating employment & labor, premises liability, real estate, business litigation, professional liability, and complex appellate matters. He provides hands-on, thoughtful and efficient counsel with the goal of promoting effective and cost-sensitive results. Mr. De Wames has litigated hundreds of cases to completion including significant jury trial experience with successful verdicts for the client. He specializes in employment litigation, providing services tailored to client needs and priorities. Mr. DeWames also specializes in the defense of clients in insurance-based matters to include professional liability (architects/engineers; real estate professionals and attorneys), general liability (premises liability, wronful death, restaurant and hospitality, bars/nightclubs) and speciality risk. Mr. DeWames also has experience in representation of business clients in multiple areas of civil litigation to include complex commerical disputes, business torts, intellectual property, real estate, and construction.

A skilled speaker on employment and litigation matters, he has served as a guest speaker for numerous conferences including the annual Professionals in Human Resources Conference. Mr. De Wames was recognized as a California Super Lawyer Rising Star in 2012.

A native to Southern California, Mr. De Wames received his Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology, cum laude, in 1998 from the University of California at Davis, where he was a member of the Dean’s List from 1994 through 1998.
