Eric Swedenburg is a Partner at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP, where he specializes in representing corporations, private equity firms and financial advisors in mergers and acquisitions transactions and corporate governance matters.

Other notable transactions have included representing Neiman Marcus in its sale to a private equity consortium, The New York Times in connection with a proxy contest, Seagram in its business combination with Vivendi and Canal Plus and America Online in its merger with Time Warner.

Eric received his J.D. in 1999 from Cornell Law School, where he was a member of Order of the Coif and a Member and Managing Editor of the Cornell Law Review, and his B.S. in 1993 from the University of Virginia. He is a member of the American Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association.
