Eric Wachter
specializes in developing and implementing strategies to solve complex problems in litigation and government affairs. His litigation practice focuses on sophisticated, high-exposure product liability, consumer fraud, toxic tort, and personal injury cases, including class actions and attorney general actions, in federal and state courts across the country. Mr. Wachter also works with the firm’s government advocacy and public policy practice, including helping to guide clients through Congressional investigations; with the firm’s national appellate practice; and with the firm’s crisis management team, assisting clients facing threats on multiple fronts, including litigation, investigations, and regulatory action. He has substantial experience with the pharmaceutical and health care industries. In 2013, he was recognized as a “Rising Star” by Washington, DC Super Lawyers magazine.
Mr. Wachter served as law clerk to the Honorable Gerald B. Tjoflat of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. He graduated cum laude from Harvard Law School, where he served as an editor of the Harvard Journal on Legislation, in 2003. He graduated magna cum laude from Yale University in 2000 with a degree in Ethics, Politics, and Economics, with a multi-disciplinary concentration in education policy, and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
