In addition, Mr. Bord heads the firm's Immigration Compliance and Risk Management Practice, counseling companies on I-9 and E-Verify issues and Social Security Administration "no-match" letters, as well as representing clients facing government investigations related to immigration compliance and claims of immigration-related unfair employment practices. He has litigated numerous matters before the U.S. Immigration Court, the Board of Immigration Appeals, the Office of the Chief Administrative Hearing Officer, and in U.S. District Courts.

Mr. Bord participates in the Morgan Lewis/Workforce Change practice team that is devoted to the full spectrum of employment, labor, benefits, and immigration issues related to mergers and acquisitions, reductions in force, and business restructurings. This includes advising companies and private equity investors on immigration-related due diligence issues.

Prior to attending law school, Mr. Bord was associate director of Latin American and Caribbean programs at The Carter Center. Following law school, he was a full-time consultant to The Carter Center on a variety of initiatives to promote democracy, human rights, and development.
