Gene Caiola focuses his practice on representing developers and owners in connection with financings, dispositions, acquisitions and construction of office, multi-family, condominium and mixed-use properties. He has also represented clients in connection with the formation and dissolution of joint-ventures, brokerage issues, construction issues and other matters. He has an active leasing practice representing tenants throughout the United States and has negotiated office, loft, retail and ground leases, easements and licenses.

Gene Caiola has extensive experience on commercial real estate with an emphasis on representing lending institutions in originations, modifications and the sale of loans and REO property.

Mr. Caiola participated in the drafting of a model form of office lease, model form of contract and commentary for the sale of office, commercial and multi-family buildings and a model form of retail lease for the Association of the Bar of the City of New York.

From 2002 to 2004, Mr. Caiola served as a law clerk to the Honorable Nina Gershon, United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York.

Mr. Caiola was recognized as a 2014 New York “Rising Star” in the area of Real Estate by Super Lawyers magazine.
