Evelien is an associate in the Life Sciences Health Industry Group.

Evelien's practice focuses on commercial litigation, products liability, and labor and employment. Since joining the firm, Evelien has represented an array of clients, including those in the pharmaceutical, welding, healthcare, and mortgage industries. Evelien's substantial contributions to the defense of products liability actions range from the initial stages of pleadings and discovery to motion practice and trial preparation. Evelien has served as the primary client contact for several international clients, overseeing discovery in more than 30 cases. In addition to her experience in discovery related matters, Evelien has prepared several cases for trial, drafting dozens of motions and other pleadings associated with her mass tort and commercial litigation disputes. She has also represented construction lenders in countless mechanics' lien and stop-notice actions.

In the labor and employment realm, Evelien has represented employers in single and multi-plaintiff cases involving employment discrimination, wrongful termination, retaliation, and wage and hour claims. Evelien has represented employers in both state and federal courts.

Evelien also has spent considerable time litigating pro bono matters relating to women's and refugee's rights.

In addition to her legal work, Evelien contributes to the firm's recruiting efforts. She is an active member of the firm's hiring committee and also serves as an associate mentor for new associates.
