F. Matthew Ralph

Matthew Ralph is a partner in the firm’s Minneapolis office, where he practices complex civil litigation with a particular emphasis on antitrust law. As Co-Chair of the firm's Antitrust and Competition Law Practice Group, Matt represents corporate clients in Sherman Act and Clayton Act cases and investigations involving claims for price-fixing, monopolization, tying, bundled discounts, and other exclusionary conduct. Matt is a former Chair of the Antitrust Section of the Minnesota State Bar Association, and an adjunct professor of antitrust at the University of Minnesota and University of St. Thomas Law Schools.

Matt is an experienced trial lawyer in district and appellate courts. He has represented major clients in First Amendment, class actions, shareholder, securities, ERISA, and professional malpractice cases. He has also achieved significant results in immigration law through pro bono representation of asylum applicants, winning appeals on “particular social group” issues in Gathungu v. Holder, 725 F.3d 900 (8th Cir. 2013) and Hassan v. Gonzales, 484 F.3d 513 (8th Cir. 2007).

Matt also maintains an active practice in Montana, where he is licensed. Since 2005, Matt has represented Montana public corporations and their officers and directors in some of Montana’s most significant litigation matters.
