Gary Eiland

has built a practice focused on providing legal services to the health care industry over the past 30 years. He is experienced in the special regulatory and organizational problems of academic medical centers and other healthcare providers, with a particular focus on clinical research and regulatory compliance, False Claims Act investigations and defense, self-disclosures, pursuit of OIG Advisory Opinions, Medicare and Medicaid coverage and payment issues (including Medicaid UPL programs), and structuring healthcare business transactions, affiliations, and other contractual relationships.

Mr. Eiland has earned national recognition for his work, including being rated as one of the top healthcare lawyers in the state of Texas by Chambers USA, which described him as “second to none” in the field, and has been featured as one of five “Go-To/Top Notch Lawyers” in health law in the Texas Lawyer’s “Go-To Guide.” Legal Media Group’s publication Best of the Best U.S.A. 2007, 2009 and 2011 included him in a list of 25 top healthcare lawyers in the country and he has been listed in the Best Lawyers in America for greater than 20 years. Mr. Eiland has been selected three times for Nightingale’s Healthcare News list of “Outstanding Healthcare Fraud and Compliance Lawyers” and was a Charter Member of the Texas Board of Legal Specialization’s Health Law Exam Commission during 2002 - 2005. He is also a recipient of the American Health Lawyers Association's prestigious David J. Greenburg Award for career-long contributions to the Association.
