Gerald J. Pappert, a member of the firm’s Commercial Litigation Department, has been confirmed by the U.S. Senate for the a position on the federal bench. Jerry, a former Pennsylvania attorney general, will sit in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. While endorsing Jerry for the position Wednesday evening, Pennsylvania Senators Bob Casey and Pat Toomey described Jerry as "someone of the highest caliber in integrity and commitment to service."

Jerry joined Cozen O'Connor in 2012 and currently serves as chairman of the Pennsylvania Banking and Securities Commission. Prior to joining the firm, Jerry served as executive vice president, general counsel and secretary of biopharmaceutical company Cephalon. He served as Pennsylvania’s Attorney General between 2003 and 2005 under then-Governor Ed Rendell.
