Guoping Da PhD

Guoping Da practices intellectual property law with an emphasis on patent litigation. Her experience includes representing multinational companies in IP enforcement and infringement actions in the U.S. and China. These representations have involved a broad range of technologies such as biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, animal health products, optics, computer hardware and software technologies, and vehicle telematics. Guoping also has counseled clients on trade secret matters and published an article regarding strategies for trade secret protection in China.

Guoping's Ph.D. thesis is focused on structure determination and function characterization of gene regulatory proteins, including histone deacetylases and histone demethylases. As such, she is familiar with a broad range of molecular, biochemical, and biophysical research tools centered around X-ray crystallography and structure-based drug design.
