Hans Hertell is a member of the Litigation, Arbitration, and Employment practice group in the Miami office of Hogan Lovells. He focuses his practice on international litigation and arbitration of commercial and investor-state disputes, including derivative litigation in U.S. federal and state courts.

Hans has significant experience representing clients in international business disputes arising from a variety of contractual arrangements and industries, and administered under the rules of leading arbitration institutions such as the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID). He also has experience counseling clients in environmental litigation and regulatory matters.

Prior to joining Hogan Lovells, Hans was an associate at international law firms in Washington, D.C., where he concentrated on international commercial and investment arbitration. Before entering private practice, Hans was a law clerk for the Honorable Juan M. Pérez-Giménez in the United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico. During law school, he served as Executive Editor for the Georgetown International Environmental Law Review.
