Hasan Rashid is a partner in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP and is based in the Firm’s Boston office. He focuses his practice on litigating complex intellectual property disputes, including patent, trademark and copyright matters.

Hasan represents clients in a wide variety of high-tech industries. Having earned a graduate degree in electrical engineering, he is well-suited for and has represented clients in a number of technical fields, including wireless and wired communications, power electronics, analog circuit design and semiconductor fabrication. Hasan also has experience representing clients in the medical device industries, including pharmaceutical formulations and delivery.

With his technical background and courtroom experience, Hasan is skilled at developing successful case strategies. He often works closely with his clients’ engineers, technical specialists and experts to delve into complicated subject matter and distill a simple and understandable path to success before judges and juries alike.

Hasan regularly advises clients on patent portfolio strategy and management, and has experience developing patent portfolios for clients in a number of fields, including the wireless and secure communications space. He also has experience with inter partes reviews and reexaminations before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

Hasan is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and Florida, and before the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts. He is also registered to practice before the USPTO.
