Hugh Marbury's primary areas of practice are business and intellectual property litigation.
Hugh's business litigation practice focuses on complex financial transactions and commercial disputes. His intellectual property litigation practice includes patent, trademark, copyright and trade secret litigation. He has tried cases in federal court and has extensive arbitration and mediation experience. Hugh also maintains a Secret clearance with the United States government as a result of some of his engagements.
Hugh served for four years on DLA Piper's Policy Committee and for six years as the Hiring Partner for the Baltimore office. He is also the chair of DLA Piper's Marbury Institute. In 2011, Hugh participated in the DLA Piper Harvard Leadership Program.
