I have defended lawyers and insurance brokers against malpractice claims and I have handled contract disputes, premises liability claims, HOA board disputes, personal injury and property damage claims, and groundwater contamination and toxic tort suits.

I have handled litigation in trial and appellate courts involving primary and excess insurance coverage issues, including commercial liability, professional liability, directors and officers’ liability, homeowners', environmental liability, construction liability and other types of insurance. I have represented insurers in declaratory relief and bad-faith actions, and provided coverage counseling and litigation involving first-party claims, including property and casualty claims, business-interruption coverage, event contingency and concert cancellation, commercial crime loss coverage and fidelity bonds.

I have also counseled clients regarding risk management issues related to data security breaches and cyber vandalism. I have counseled clients whose businesses involve the use or dissemination of private personal data or sensitive commercial information and trade secrets.

Scott Miller has extensive experience with matters involving general liability, premises liability, personal injury defense, insurance coverage, professional negligence and legal malpractice, contractor negligence and construction defect litigation. Before relocating to Sacramento in 2014, Scott practiced insurance coverage litigation, and general liability and professional liability defense in Los Angeles for seven years.
