Zaid focuses her practice on the formation and operation of private investment funds (including buyout funds, hedge funds, real estate funds, natural resource funds and funds of funds) and frequently works with institutional investors (including endowments, pension funds, funds of funds, private foundations, and family offices) in connection with their private fund related investments on a primary, secondary, and co-investment basis.

Prior to practicing law, Zaid worked as a strategic diversity and change management consultant in New York. Zaid worked primarily with Fortune 500 companies and multinational organizations based in the United States and Western Europe.
