James Nguyen is an associate in the Financial Services Group of the Washington, D.C. office of Morrison & Foerster. Mr. Nguyen’s practice focuses on financial services regulation.
Prior to joining Morrison & Foerster, Mr. Nguyen worked as a law clerk in the Legal Division at the Federal Reserve Board. He also previously worked in the Card and Payments Markets group of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, joining the agency as a member of the Treasury’s CFPB Implementation Team.
Mr. Nguyen received his B.A. from California State University, San Marcos, graduating as the university’s top graduate, his M.P.P. from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government, and his J.D. from UC Berkeley School of Law. During law school, he volunteered at the East Bay Community Law Center’s consumer law clinic and served as Senior Editor for the Berkeley Business Law Journal.
