Mr. Yu is Senior Counsel in the Litigation and Labor & Employment Departments. He has defended several class action lawsuits, including wage and hour class and collective actions, and is experienced in handling multi-district litigations. He has regularly handled and tried a diverse range of matters, including complex contract disputes, trade secret misappropriation and business tort cases, products liability and toxic tort defense, and several actions defending servicers of commercial mortgage loans involving multi-level debt structures. His client representations include service providers, manufacturers, insurance carriers, hedge funds and major banking institutions, among many others.

Mr. Yu has particular expertise on trade secret protection, computer fraud and non-compete agreements. He has both obtained and fought restraining orders and injunctions against former employees and competitors for alleged theft of confidential information and/or breach of restrictive covenants on behalf of clients involved in a broad spectrum of industries, including product sales and services, medical devices, fashion and retail, software development, and the staffing industry.

Mr. Yu is actively involved in pro bono work for the Asian-Pacific American community in New York, as well as clients referred by the Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts and the Lawyers Alliance for New York. He is currently Vice President of Programs and Operations of the Asian American Bar Association of New York and served as co-chair of its Litigation Committee in 2010 and as a Director in 2011.
