Jason Hoggan represents clients in a variety of commercial litigation matters and internal investigations. His experience includes various aspects of civil and business litigation in state and federal courts, as well as federal securities litigation. His experience covers all aspects of litigation, from discovery through trial preparation, including factual and legal research and motion practice. Jason's recent representations include defeating plaintiffs' efforts to enjoin Tokyo Electron's acquisition of FSI International.
Jason regularly works on matters arising under the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and has experience conducting significant corporate criminal investigations. He has done legal and factual investigative work for Fortune 500 companies in the U.S. and Mexico, working in conjunction with the Department of Justice and the Securities and Exchange Commission. Jason has experience with Foreign Corrupt Practices Act compliance and training, and he recently worked on an internal investigation in the telecommunications sector.
Prior to joining Jones Day, Jason worked for six years in the U.S. Air Force Office of Special Investigations. As a special agent and Air Force officer, Jason conducted felony-level criminal investigations on individuals subject to the Uniform Code of Military Justice, directed investigations of suspected terrorists detained in Guantanamo Bay Prison, and managed counterintelligence collections affecting Air Force assets and personnel worldwide.
