Mr. Cadwell is a member of Dorsey’s Trademark, Copyright, and Brand Management group. His practice currently includes trademark clearance, prosecution, and enforcement, as well as negotiating intellectual property licenses and agreements, providing intellectual property advice and diligence for mergers and acquisitions and secured lending transactions, and giving advice regarding intellectual property issues in government contracts.

Mr. Cadwell obtains copyright registrations for clients and advises on copyright issues. He also has experience with Internet issues, such as domain name acquisition and enforcement, takedown notices under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), termination of email accounts and domain names used for fraudulent purposes, and other cybersquatting and cyberpiracy issues.
