Jennifer R. Turner

As a senior associate in the securities litigation group, Jennifer Turner's practice is focused on representing companies and their officers and directors in securities class actions, merger litigation, and shareholder derivative law suits. She also has extensive experience conducting internal investigations, particularly those related to companies' compliance with accounting regulations and internal controls, advising clients on corporate governance matters, and representing corporate and individual clients in government and regulatory enforcement proceedings, including those conducted by the SEC, DOJ, and FINRA.

Jennifer's recent representations include: defeating plaintiffs' efforts to enjoin Tokyo Electron's acquisition of FSI International; conducting an internal investigation and advising the audit committee on a restatement with respect to certain related party transactions, accounting errors and irregularities, revenue recognition issues, and related disclosures; advising a client responding to a federal grand jury subpoena; and representing the independent directors of Culligan, Ltd. in a derivative law suit alleging breaches of fiduciary duty in connection with a leveraged buyout.

While serving as a municipal prosecutor through Jones Day's association with the City Attorney Office of Grand Prairie, Texas, Jennifer won numerous bench and jury trials. She also has represented several pro bono clients, focusing on family law matters through the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program.
