Jennifer devotes her practice to energy regulation before state regulatory commissions, focused primarily on transactions for the certification, financing, development, acquisition and disposition of energy/utility assets. She has been involved in various proceedings on behalf of electric and natural gas utilities before the Virginia State Corporation Commission and the North Carolina Utilities Commission.

She has assisted investor-owned utilities and electric cooperatives in filings and hearings before state regulatory commissions, and in filings before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), including rates and tariffs, affiliate transactions/asset transfers and electric transmission regulation. She has assisted in numerous rate cases and in proceedings securing regulatory approvals of transmission lines, generation facilities and affiliate arrangements. Notable experience includes involvement in rate cases, transmission line siting, acquiring certificates of public convenience and necessity, and filings related to the transfer of utility assets, issuance of utility securities, and approvals of affiliate arrangements.

Before joining the firm's energy and utilities group in 2007, Jennifer worked in its business and securities litigation group on cases regarding shareholder matters, export control compliance violations and patent litigation.
