Jere Thomson has had primary Firm responsibility for supervising a wide variety of mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, securities offerings, joint ventures, and related matters. He has extensive experience with cross-border transactions.

Jere has served as an advisor to numerous Jones Day corporate clients located in the United States and around the world, including Chrysler, Dana, Dollar Thrifty Auto, EADS, Electrolux, Endesa, Essilor, Forbes, France Telecom, Frontier Communications, General Motors, Hunting Group, IBM, Lincoln Electric, Linde (BOC), Orient-Express Hotels, Petrobras, Reader's Digest Association, Reynolds American, sanofi-aventis, Sprint Nextel, Total, Toyota, UPM-Kymmene, Verizon, and Williams Cos. He also has advised financial institutions and investment firms and other significant entities.

Jere relocated to the Firm's New York Office in 1996, after spending five years in the London Office as coordinator of the Firm's corporate practice throughout Europe. Prior to moving to London, he was Firmwide head of Jones Day's corporate finance practice.

Jere is a member of the ABA (Business Law Section and International Law and Practice Section). He has spoken at seminars and other professional gatherings in the United States and Europe, including corporate governance seminars sponsored by The Conference Board.
