John Kindschuh

John Kindschuh concentrates his nationwide practice in the field of environmental law, including litigation, regulatory compliance, and transactional counseling. Mr. Kindschuh also represents large industrial corporations on legislative and regulatory issues pertaining to energy costs and in electric, gas, and sewer rate cases.

Mr. Kindschuh routinely represents clients in USEPA enforcement actions and CERCLA cost recovery actions. Mr. Kindschuh has successfully litigated cases in federal and state courts, and before the Missouri Public Service Commission. He has a strong commitment to representing corporate clients in multi-million dollar cases as well as to individual pro bono clients who cannot afford legal representation.

Mr. Kindschuh regularly advises clients on regulatory and permitting issues under the Clean Water Act, RCRA, NEPA, and other federal and state environmental laws. He is involved with utility regulation as well as developments with renewable and sustainable energy. He has experience in occupational safety and health counseling and defense.

Mr. Kindschuh negotiates environmental terms of deal documents and conducts environmental due diligence for purchasers, sellers, and lenders. He has significant experience reviewing and analyzing Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments and managing real estate transactions. He handles many contractual aspects of transactions, including the environmental and regulatory issues.

Mr. Kindschuh interned with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the National Labor Relations Board. His undergraduate studies included concentrations in history and human resource management.
