As a partner in the New York office, John Kuehn's practice focuses on venture capital investments, growth equity investments and leveraged buy-outs in the media, telecom and technology industries. In those transactions, he typically finds himself wearing many hats, from advising investor clients about advantageous acquisition terms and structures to developing and negotiating employment and incentive equity arrangements for portfolio company management. His clients include private equity and venture capital investment funds and operating companies. John began his career in Kirkland's Chicago office, where he was a summer associate and where he served with diligence (if little on-field success) as the manager of the Firm's Lawyers League softball team. He moved to the New York office in 1996.
