John is the Managing Partner of Reed Smith's Los Angeles office and Global Co-Chair of the firm's Japan Business Team. He has substantial experience representing U.S., Asian, Canadian and multinational companies in a wide variety of corporate, financial and commercial transactions, including private placements and public offerings, private equity transactions, cross-border financings, venture capital financings, secured loan financings, federal (SEC) and state securities regulations, foreign private issuer regulation, strategic alliances, joint ventures, technology, licensing and distribution arrangements, asset and stock acquisitions (M&A), and corporate governance matters.

In 2010, John became the first Asian American to serve on Reed Smith's Executive Committee and Senior Management Team.
