John M. Lazarus, a partner and registered patent attorney with Foley & Lardner LLP, provides counseling relating to patent preparation, prosecution and enforcement, product design, and patent infringement matters and prepares intellectual property agreements, patent opinions, and due diligence opinions. He also counsels a wide variety of companies regarding patent prosecution strategies and patent portfolio coordination. Mr. Lazarus has worked with large and small corporations in a wide variety of technical disciplines, including automotive technologies, refrigeration systems and products, medical devices, lighting systems and technology, clean/green technologies, including battery and battery charger products and systems, solar collection/tracking systems and water purification and reclamation systems, tools and craft/decor products, packaging devices, commercial cooking systems and other consumer, commercial, and industrial products and technologies.

A registered professional engineer in the state of New York, Mr. Lazarus worked as an engineering supervisor with the New York Power Authority, overseeing nuclear safety system and power production equipment reliability, and demonstrating compliance with federal regulations.
