John practices in the areas of intellectual property and commercial litigation. He has extensive experience in all aspects of litigation, including discovery, law and motion, claim construction and trial. John has been selected as one of the Top Intellectual Property Litigators in California by the Daily Journal and has been named a Northern California Super Lawyer for 2014.

John's primary emphasis is on patent infringement litigation. He has served as lead counsel in numerous patent infringement lawsuits involving computer software and hardware, graphical user interfaces, 3-D graphics, semiconductors, operating systems, wireless and wired networks, optoelectronic transceivers, educational toys and medical imaging technology. John has also litigated copyright, trademark and trade secret disputes, as well as software licenses and development agreements.
