Jonathan Weld practices in the capital markets and banking areas and has broad corporate and banking experience. His practice focuses on structuring and implementing public and private securities offerings, financings and listings, and acquisitions and joint ventures (usually involving financial institutions), and strategic planning, regulatory counseling and regulatory examinations and investigations (particularly involving banks and securities companies). He often works with New York State and federal banking agencies and the Securities and Exchange Commission. Mr. Weld joined the firm in 1967, became a partner in 1976 and spent three years (1982 to 1985) in the London office and a year (2001) in Hong Kong.
