Joe Van Asten represents clients in a variety of litigation matters and internal investigations. His practice includes an emphasis on construction law and contractual disputes. Joe's practice has included contract negotiations and disputes pertaining to various construction projects as well as other breach of contract disputes relating to franchise agreements. Recently, Joe also has worked on a number of internal investigations in the internet services, telecommunications, and financial products sectors.

Joe also maintains an active pro bono practice. He has represented clients in divorce, mistaken paternity, and judgment enforcement proceedings; probate disputes; and asylum matters. He is a frequent volunteer at the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program's South Dallas Legal Clinic.

Prior to attending law school, Joe worked for four years as a technical director for a major cable sports network.

He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Dallas Bar Association, the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers, and the American Bar Association.
