Julie L. Davies

Julie L. Davies is an associate in Morgan Lewis’s Business and Finance Practice. Ms. Davies focuses her practice on counseling private and publicly listed companies in a broad spectrum of industries, including clean tech, biotech, medical device, life science, and online retail. Ms. Davies advises companies, investment banks and venture capital and corporate investors on day-to-day corporate matters and on major events in company life cycles, including formation, venture capital private placements, public capital markets transactions, mergers & acquisitions, and spinoffs. Ms. Davies also counsels publicly listed companies with respect to 1934 Act reporting obligations and corporate governance matters.

In addition, Ms. Davies counsels public and private companies on domestic and foreign equity compensation programs, including equity compensation issues related to mergers and acquisitions. She regularly counsels employers on the tax, securities, and corporate governance implications of such programs.

Ms. Davies received her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 2007, where she was editor-in-chief of the Georgetown Journal of Gender and the Law Annual Review. She received her B.S., cum laude, in accounting and in finance from Georgetown University in 2004.

Ms. Davies is admitted to practice in California and before the U.S. Tax Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
