Monica McCarroll has extensive experience working as a trial attorney specializing in complex civil litigation having tried cases in both federal and state courts. Monica now focuses her practice on providing advice and counsel on electronic discovery, information governance and cybersecurity issues.

Representing and advising clients engaged in state and federal litigation and regulatory investigations regarding all aspects of discovery, from preservation through production
Providing information governance counsel to several Fortune 500 firm clients, including analyzing and updating policies regarding the generation, use and disposition of data
Leading numerous internal investigations for publicly held clients regarding regulatory inquiries, whistleblower reports, and potential FCPA violations
Negotiating targeted, reasonable, and iterative discovery protocols with protective orders and clawback agreements
Utilizing advanced technological tools to significantly narrow the burden and expense of eDiscovery
Analyzing potential data breach scenarios and advising clients regarding incident response protocols

Prior to joining Redgrave LLP, Monica was a Partner at Williams Mullen where she chaired the firm’s eDiscovery and Information Governance practice. Monica served as national discovery counsel for Fortune 500 clients and advised others on eDiscovery matters at the firm. She also participated as counsel in a private cause of action under the Electronic Communications Privacy Act.
