Richard M. Dunn joined Cozen O'Connor's Miami office in May 2006. Rick is a trial lawyer who focuses his practice on complex business litigation, including aviation and marine defense, construction defect litigation, products liability, complex tort litigation, intellectual property, insurance coverage (including property) professional liability and employment litigation. He also has significant experience defending airlines and aviation component manufacturers. Rick is listed among The Best Lawyers in America (Business Litigation) and Who's Who in American Law. He was also named a Florida "Super Lawyer" by Law & Politics.
Rick is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers. He is also a member of the International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC), among the faculty at the IADC National Trial Academy for young lawyers and a speaker at the IADC Corporate Counsel College. He has served as chairman of the Class Actions and Multi-Party Litigation Committee of the IADC and has served as chair of the IADC Transportation Committee. He has served as chair of the American Bar Association's Tort and Insurance Practices Aviation & Space Committee, and is a member of the Florida Bar Association.
Rick earned his law degree from the University of Miami School of Law (J.D., 1970) and his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame (B.B.A., 1967). He is admitted to practice in Florida and before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Middle, and Northern Districts of Florida; U.S. Courts of Appeal for the Fifth and Eleventh Circuits; and the U.S. Supreme Court.
