Susan Hoffman is a member of the Securities and Financial Institutions Litigation and Broker-Dealer Groups, with experience in arbitration, jury trials and court trials in the federal and state courts. Although she represents clients in a broad range of complex commercial disputes, the primary focus of her practice has been securities litigation, including the representation of brokerage firms in disputes with wealthy customers or groups of customers, the defense of class actions with emphasis on shareholder claims against public corporations and their boards of directors, and the representation of individuals and business entities in actions brought by the SEC and FINRA.

Susan has been a litigator for more than 30 years. During that time she has successfully moved to dismiss cases, defeated motions for class certification, eliminated claims or cases on motions for summary judgment, obtained very attractive settlements for her clients, and won numerous cases after arbitrations or trials. Her clients include JP Morgan, Merrill Lynch, AIG, MassMutual and Kaiser Foundation Hospitals.

Susan has spoken on a variety of topics relating to general litigation, securities litigation and practice development.
