William M. Lyon Jr.

Mr. Lyon attended Tulane University and the University of Alabama, where he graduated in 1973 with a B.A. degree. He obtained his Juris Doctorate from the University of Alabama School of Law in 1976. He has practiced law with the firm of McFadden, Lyon & Rouse for 36 years. He is licensed before all state and federal courts in the State of Alabama, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States Tax Court and the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Lyon has handled numerous bench and jury trials in state and federal courts and a number of successful appeals. His practice is focused in the areas of eminent domain, commercial and bankruptcy litigation, real estate development transactions and personal injury litigation. He is a licensed mediator. Mr. Lyon has presented written materials, lectured and been a member of the panel at a number of CLE and other professional seminars on the subjects of real estate, easements, zoning and bankruptcy issues. Mr. Lyon has been an expert witness in state and federal court on various legal issues.

Mr. Lyon successfully prosecuted for the US Bankruptcy Trustee a fraudulent transfer claim against the debtor and third parties, obtaining settlement agreement for the Trustee to receive the sum of $327,500 or, in the alternative, to recover the real property for resale by the Trustee.
