Daniel A. Goldberger is a special counsel in the Real Estate practice group and a member of the Cooley LLP business department. Mr. Goldberger joined Cooley LLP in 2006. Resident in the New York office, Mr. Goldberger handles a wide range of complex commercial real estate matters both domestically and in the Caribbean and Central America, including acquisitions and dispositions, joint ventures, financings, leasing and construction and development projects.

Prior to joining Cooley Godward Kronish, Mr. Goldberger was a partner in Michael, Levitt, Goldberger & Rubenstein, a New York real estate boutique, where he represented developers and property owners in connection with all stages of real property development and operation – from initial property acquisition, to structuring complex joint venture and financing arrangements with institutional and private equity and debt sources, to negotiating significant retail and office leases. Earlier in his career, Mr. Goldberger was associated with the law firms White & Case and Sonnenschein, Nath & Rosenthal.

Mr. Goldberger earned a J.D. from Columbia University School of Law in 1993. He received his A.B. in History from Columbia College of Columbia University in 1988.

Mr. Goldberger is admitted to practice in New York.
