Joshua M. Kamin

Josh Kamin

is a partner in King & Spalding’s Capital Transactions and Real Estate Practice Group. Mr. Kamin’s practice covers a broad range of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, developments and dispositions of office, multifamily, retail, industrial, healthcare and hotel properties, joint ventures, equity investment, mezzanine and mortgage financings, refinancings and workouts. Mr. Kamin has significant experience in portfolio transactions, designing real estate platforms, including joint venture programs, and in healthcare real estate.

Mr. Kamin’s clients include private equity, institutions, sponsors, investors and developers in all aspects of their real estate businesses. His practice footprint extends to transactions throughout the Americas.

Mr. Kamin is a fellow of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers (ACREL) and serves as the Vice Chairman of its Equity Investment Committee. Mr. Kamin has been recognized by Chambers USA, The Best Lawyers in America (which recognized him as the “2012 Best Real Estate Lawyer” in Atlanta, Georgia), Georgia Trend magazine as a “Legal Elite”, and by Atlanta magazine as a “Super Lawyer”.

Mr. Kamin is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, and served on the Executive Committee of its Real Property Law Section, where he chaired the Ethics, Professionalism and UPL Committee. He continues to serve on the Legal Opinion, Forms, and Intangibles (Recording) Tax Committees. He is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, the Atlanta Bar Association and the American Bar Association, where he serves on various committees in the sections of Real Property, Probate and Trust Law. Mr. Kamin is a board member of the Real Estate Honorary Board at Georgia State University, and Leadership Atlanta, Class of 2009-2010. Mr. Kamin represented the United States in the 2005 World Maccabiah Games in the Men’s Open Golf competition, and in the 2002, 2004, 2008 and 2012 Maccabi Transatlantic Cup.
